Turk of America

Turk of America is a Turkish magazine which reports news about Turkish businesses and the Turkish community in the United States. It was founded in 2002 with its first issue published in August of the same year. The magazine is not affiliated with any political organization, party, ethnic group, or ideology.

The magazine’s content focuses primarily on the business activities and the social lives of Turkish people in the United States. Social, cultural and economic activities as well as the activities of Americans who are related in any way with Turkey, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus or other Turkish communities are largely covered on a monthly basis. The magazine follows contemporary developments in the U.S. through its contributors from 10 states Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

Distribution

The magazine is distributed in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. by subscription.

The magazine can also be mailed to individuals, institutions, and other entities that serve the Turkish community or has extensive communication with Turkish community in their respective region. U.S. based Turkish associations, consulates and businesses are included in this segment. The magazine is also sent to American companies doing business with Turkey, to members of the U.S. Senate (100 Senators), to the members of the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce & Industry, to the members of the Turkish Business Forum, to the members of the American Turkish Assemble Associations, to the members of the Federation of Turkish American Associations and to the members of the American Turkish Council. The magazine, which is published in English, is also distributed to airline passengers at the Turkish Airlines VIP lounge at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City.

The magazine is distributed to a broad audience in Turkey, which includes large corporations, banks, advertising and PR companies, foundations, and the press.

Turk of America reaches over 10,000 individuals, institutions, and entities in the United States. It is also distributed through direct mail in Turkey. It is sent to over one thousand executives of leading advertising, media, PR and consulting companies in addition to large corporations, banks, and investment firms.
